He's A (Mr Sparkle) Flake Finish & UFO & PIF and Exciting news (I hope)

I finished my LHN 'He's A Flake' stitching last night. Not sure how I'm going to finish it off,  but the model on  LHN website looks really nice so maybe I'll do it that way. I added some sparkles to the bow and his scarf. I used DMC shiny white floss for him and the snowflakes, but you really can't tell in this picture. I'm hoping Diane from LHN will give him a girlfriend and we can do 'She's A Flake' someday!
I have resurected an old Christmas UFO (below).  It is very pretty in person. Along with the picture, I am going to make ornaments of some of the individual characters also. I hope I can finish this in time for Christmas.
And I  resumed working on a Shepard's Bush Christmas stocking last night and realized I was stitching the stocking sideways!!!! What an idiot! Oh Dopey Me,  I was in such a hurry to get these done that I didn't realize how large they are so I started on the short side of the fabby. Who let those frogs in???

And almost last but not least....I received a PIF from Dawn Wright, she made me the cutest tiny biscornu.
I still can't figure out how she did that. Thank you Dawn!!!!   So now it's my turn to pick 3 people who leave a comment on this post telling me they want to receive something stitchy from me in a year or maybe less! I will draw names on Sunday March 7 and post them on this blog. Please leave me way to contact you if you really, really want to win.

And the most-est exciting news of all...I hope I don't jinx it by mentioning it, but I know a woman who owns a LNS. She is the one I've mentioned in the past who is closing her shop due to her age.  She wants to meet with me to discuss her options on closing/selling her shop!!!!
I'll keep you posted.

Love your snowman. That Christmas piece is just beautiful.

There is lots of tutorals about Biscornus. I am thinking I want to do one. I've not done one yet. I'll give it a try if you will!!!

Have a great day!

Isn't he a cutie, I'm waiting on this chart in an order from an ONS, hopefully it will be here soon. The biscornu is lovely too. What great news - I think it's every stitchers dream to be surrounded by stitching inspiration all day every day - though know doubt it is lots of hard work. Good luck. I would be thrilled to go in the draw for your PIF kindness.

I really hope things work out with keeping the shop open. LNSes are as scarce as hen's teeth as it is in SoCal, I'd sure hate to see another one gone. Fingers crossed for you.

Love your "He's a Flake". Very cute.

Cyndi, I'm just so pleased you'd like to join my group that I'm jumpiing for joy! Winning something would be like icing on the cake, and what I'd love to win is a biscouni (SP?) cause I want to attempt to make one myself. Stitchesandstuff is going to have a Christmas in July Project together, and the biscouni is what we're planing on stitching together so hopefully you'll help some of us who've never attempted one before!
You have a beatiful blog........and inspiration to me for sure!

Cyndi, I'm keeping my fingers crossed (and stitches too!) that things work out with the shopkeeper. What a wonderful venture! We'll live vicariously through you (and place lots of orders).
He's A Flake is beautiful. Love your special touches.
Dawn's PIF is gorgeous! Biscorni aren't that difficult. Even I made one and I'm NOT a finisher.

Nice new blog...love "He's a flake"

I have that same Christmas sampler--I started it years ago and then my late mum finished it right before she came to live with us in 2004 (she died in 2006). It's the last complete piece she did before her eyesight got too bad. She enjoyed it immensely so I hope you receive as much joy from yours!

I will also pray that everything works out for you vis-a-vis the LNS as it should

You're stitching some great pieces. I think it's always nice to pull something out of the WIP pile and finish it off.

Can't wait to hear the results of your meeting with the store owner. I think it would be wonderful to own a shop and be surrounded by all the wonderful things.
