Grace

I just had to share...yesterday after work I went to Trader Joe's to buy dinner and thought I would treat myselt to a little something. I happened to have a 30.00 gift card at Tilly's , a clothing store here in my area. So I went in to the shoe section. I go for the shoes because it's a store for teens and you have to be a size 0 to fit into their clothes. So the sales girl brought me the shoes in my size. I was so excited that they had my size. So thinking the bench that I was standing next to would be a good place to try them on, I sat down and promptly crashed to the floor taking an entire display of shoes with me! I thought the bench was longer than it was! And to add more embarrasment the 'girl' who brought me the shoes asked me if I needed help getting up! And all the people around were just staring at me! I was so embarrased! Boy did I feel like a 105 year old granny!
I grabbed those shoes and purchased them and ran out the door with my pride dragging behind me. After all, the shoes were free, I had to get them!

Awh, that is so unfortunate. But hold your head up high at least they didn't laugh at you, they offered to help you up instead.
That was probably meant as respect by the sales clerk not as an insult.
*hugs*

I agree with Mel.. They didn't laugh, and at least the clerk offerend to help you up.

A few weeks ago, I fell down the steps at my niece's mother's house as my other niece's 17yr BF came walking across the street. He didn't even come to my aid OR ask if I was OK! At that time, I was so embarassed that I didn't think about how rude that was.

Awww....sending you lots of hugs. Things like that do happen, and at least they didn't laugh. Give it some time and you will giggle when telling the story to others. Enjoy your new shoes. :)

Sure sounds like something that would happen to me too. I have had more embarassing falls in public than I care to remember. Glad only your ego was injured.

Oww - sometimes the "fall from grace" (LOL) is worse to our dignity than anything! Glad you weren't hurt!
